Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi
Your journey begins with your arrival in New Delhi, the bustling capital of India. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your booked hotel for the night. Depending on your arrival time, you can rest or explore the city to discover its vibrant urban culture. A city blending history and modernity, New Delhi is full of monuments, but this evening is dedicated to relaxation and adjusting to the local time zone.
Day 2: From New Delhi to Varanasi
After breakfast, you will take the flight or the Vande Bharat Express train to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world and the holiest city in India. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, head to the iconic Ghats of Varanasi to witness the captivating Ganga Aarti. This ritual, celebrated every evening on the banks of the Ganges, is a spiritual experience in which priests offer prayers to the sacred river, combining fire, music, and chants. This will set the tone for the deeply spiritual journey to come.
Day 3: Explore Varanasi
Begin your morning with a peaceful boat ride on the Ganges. As you cruise along the river, you’ll see the ancient city come alive with morning rituals and pilgrims bathing. Next, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue to the Durga Temple, famous for its red architecture and peaceful setting, and the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, known for its devotion to Lord Hanuman. Then explore the sprawling campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), home to some of India’s brightest minds. In the afternoon, head to Sarnath, the site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. It is considered one of the holiest places for Hindu pilgrims. After your visit, continue your journey to Ayodhya, known as the birthplace of Lord Rama. Upon arrival in Ayodhya, check into your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Explore Ayodhya, then travel to Agra
Begin your day with a visit to the venerated Ramlala Temple, the reputed birthplace of Lord Rama. You will also visit the Hanuman Garhi Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This temple is renowned for its serene environment and deep devotion. After exploring Ayodhya, you will drive to Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for a restful night before an action-packed day of sightseeing.
Day 6: Explore Agra and travel to Jaipur
On Day 6, your tour of Agra will begin with a guided tour of the majestic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Marvel at its breathtaking beauty and learn about the love story that inspired its construction. Next, visit Agra Fort, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a rich history as a royal residence and military fortress. In the afternoon, you’ll travel by road to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where you’ll check into your hotel for the night.
Day 7: Jaipur Sightseeing
Hawa Mahal – Iconic palace with intricate latticework.
Amber Fort – Majestic hilltop fort offering breathtaking views.
City Palace – Royal residence with magnificent courtyards and museums.
Jantar Mantar – Astronomical observatory with ancient instruments.
It offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and a glimpse into Rajasthan’s royal past. An experienced English-speaking guide will help you understand the historical and architectural significance of the sites. You will then have free time to shop in the local markets and browse for handicrafts, jewelry, and textiles before returning to New Delhi for your departure.
