Jyotirlingas are sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, scattered across India. There are 12 main Jyotirlingas, each representing a divine manifestation of Lord Shiva’s light (Jyoti). These shrines are considered very auspicious and are centers of intense spiritual energy. Pilgrims visit them to obtain blessings, purify themselves and seek divine protection. The 12 Jyotirlingas are located in various states, including Somnath (Gujarat), Kedarnath (Uttarakhand) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).
