Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu:

Welcome to the capital of Nepal. Sightseeing: Kathmandu Durbar Square: Visit the ancient square with the Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex, the royal palace, courtyards and temples. Pashupatinath Temple: One of the holiest Hindu temples, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. Witness the cremation ghats and explore the surrounding shrines. Boudhanath Stupa: An important Buddhist stupa with a large mandala and prayer flags. Night in Kathmandu. 

Day 2: Visit Kathmandu Sightseeing: 

Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple): UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Explore Bhaktapur, a medieval town known for its palaces and temples, including the Palace of 55 Windows. Patan Durbar Square: Visit another royal complex with temples, shrines and the Patan Museum. Night in Kathmandu. 

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan Morning: 

Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park (approximately 5-6 hours by car or tourist bus). Arrival in Chitwan: Installation at your resort or lodge. Evening: Cultural show of traditional Tharu dance. Night in Chitwan.

Day 4: Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park Morning: 

Jungle Safari: Go on an early morning jeep safari to explore the wildlife of Chitwan National Park. The park is famous for its population of one-horned rhinos, tigers, crocodiles and various bird species. Afternoon: Visit the Elephant Breeding Center: learn about conservation efforts and interact with elephants. Evening: A relaxing evening with the opportunity to explore local Tharu culture and a cultural show. Night in Chitwan. 

Day 5: More safari activities in Chitwan Morning: 

Canoeing on the Rapti River: Take a boat ride along the river, spotting crocodiles and water birds. Nature Walk: A guided walk through the jungle to observe wildlife and learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Afternoon: Visit the Chitwan National Park Visitor Center to learn about the park’s ecosystem and conservation efforts. Evening: Optional relaxation or visit to the village. Night in Chitwan.

Day 6: Return to Kathmandu Morning: Return from Chitwan to Kathmandu (around 5-6 hours). 

Afternoon: Visit the Royal Palace of Kathmandu: Explore the Narayanhiti Palace, which was once the royal residence and is now a museum. Patan Durbar Square (if you didn’t do it on Day 2): This is a great opportunity to explore this magnificent palace complex with its temples, shrines and museums. 

Evening: Shopping and exploring in Thamel or enjoy a quiet evening in Kathmandu. Night in Kathmandu. 

Day 7: Departure from Kathmandu 

Morning: If you have time before your flight, visit the Garden of Dreams or relax in a cafe in Thamel. 

Departure: Head to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight. 

Highlights: Kathmandu Durbar Square (Hanuman Dhoka Palace). Bhaktapur Durbar Square (Palace of 55 Windows). Durbar Square in Patan. Narayanhiti Palace (former royal residence in Kathmandu).
