3 Days Vaishno Devi Yatra – Katra Pilgrimage Tour
Day 1: Arrive at Katra and Vaishno Devi Darshan-
Morning Arrival at Katra, the base camp of the holy pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi. Check into your hotel, freshen up and prepare for the spiritual journey ahead.
Afternoon Head towards Banganga checkpoint. Start your trek to the revered Vaishno Devi Temple, approximately 13 kilometers away. The scenic hike lasts approximately 4-6 hours and is dotted with beautiful landscapes and rest areas. Along the way, stop at the Ardhkuwari Temple, considered an important place where Mata Vaishno Devi meditated for nine months.
Evening Reach the main temple dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi. Seek blessings and participate in the aarti (prayer ceremony). The divine atmosphere fills one with a sense of peace and spirituality.
Night After receiving divine blessings, start your descent back to Katra. Return to the hotel for overnight stay and necessary rest.
Day 2: Explore Katra and nearby attractions-
Morning Wake up refreshed and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Get ready for a day full of exploration and sightseeing.
Late morning Visit the holy shrine of Baba Dhansar, about 15 kilometers from Katra. It is famous for its picturesque surroundings with a flowing spring and a beautiful waterfall. This place has great religious significance.
Afternoon Return to Katra and visit the local markets. You can buy souvenirs, religious items and local handicrafts here. Taste local delicacies in various restaurants serving authentic regional cuisine.
Evening Visit the Vaishno Devi Temple Management Office for a special aarti session. The peaceful atmosphere and devotional songs create a mesmerizing experience.
Night Return to the hotel for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure from Katra-
Morning Eat a leisurely breakfast and pack your things. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some time to visit missed attractions or re-visit places of interest.
Afternoon Check out of the hotel and continue your journey. Say goodbye to the divine land of Vaishno Devi with precious memories and a heart full of spiritual blessings.
