6 Days Golden Triangle with Varanasi Tour – Delhi Jaipur Agra Varanasi Package

Day 1: Varanasi sightseeing -Unveiling the Spiritual Essence-

Our exploration of Varanasi begins at dawn as we witness the mesmerizing spectacle of the sunrise over the Ganges. We embark on a boat trip on the sacred river, allowing us to absorb the spiritual atmosphere and witness the various rituals performed on the banks of the river. Ganga Aarti, a captivating evening prayer ceremony, is a must-attend event that beautifully embodies the city’s deep-seated spirituality.

After a leisurely boat ride, we venture into the narrow streets of the old town, known as “galis”. Wandering through these ancient streets, we encounter lively bazaars full of colorful textiles, handicrafts and delicious street food. A significant point of our spiritual journey is visiting the famous Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Known for its stunning architecture, exquisite carvings, and religious significance, the temple offers a deep sense of serenity.

No visit to Varanasi is complete without experiencing the centuries-old tradition of the Ghats. We visit Dasaswamedh Ghat, one of the most revered steps over the river where pilgrims gather to perform rituals and pray. Witnessing an evening Ganga Aarti from the ghat is a soul-stirring experience that leaves an indelible impression on our hearts.

Day 2: Immersing yourself in cultural delights-

Our second day in Varanasi delves into its cultural tapestry. We start with a visit to Sarnath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Sarnath is home to many ancient stupas and monasteries that provide valuable information on the historical and philosophical aspects of Buddhism. Visiting the Dhamek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar and Sarnath Museum enriches our understanding of this ancient spiritual tradition.

Continuing our cultural immersion, we head to the famous Banaras Hindu University (BHU). This esteemed institution boasts impressive architecture, peaceful gardens and a rich academic heritage. Bharat Kala Bhavan, BHU’s art and archeology museum, houses an extensive collection of rare paintings, sculptures and artifacts, showcasing India’s artistic brilliance through the ages.

To delve deeper into Varanasi’s artistic heritage, we visit Varanasi’s weavers’ village, famous for its world-famous Banarasi silk sari. Here we witness the intricate craftsmanship involved in silk weaving and have the opportunity to interact with skilled artisans who have mastered the craft for generations. Watching these exquisite saris being made is a testament to the city’s rich textile heritage.

Our exploration of Varanasi ends with a visit to Ramnagar Fort, located on the eastern bank of the Ganges. Dating back to the 18th century, this magnificent fort offers an insight into the opulent lifestyle of the Maharajas of Varanasi. Visiting its grand halls, museum of vintage cars and unique collection of medieval weapons provides a fascinating historical perspective.
