Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m above sea level)

Warm welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Transfer to hotel and pre-trip briefing.
Evening: Aarati Darshan at Pashupatinath Temple.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 – Sightseeing and preparations for Kathmandu

Morning visit: Pashupatinath Temple and Budhanilkantha (Sleeping Vishnu).
Afternoon: Pre-trip briefing, obtaining Tibetan entry permit and visa.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3 – Kathmandu ➝ Rasuwagadhi ➝ Kerung (2,700 m above sea level)

A picturesque journey through the Nepalese countryside (approx. 7–8 hours).
Cross the Nepal-China border, meet your Tibetan guide, and travel to Kerung.
Overnight in Kerung.

Day 04 – Rest day in Kerung/Nyalam (acclimatization)

Rest and short hikes to adapt to the altitude.
High-altitude fitness check.
Overnight in Kerung/Nyalam.

Day 05 – Kerung ➝ Saga (4640 m above sea level)

Drive through the Tibetan plains with views of snow-capped peaks.
Pass the sacred Brahmaputra River.
Overnight in Saga.

Day 06 – Saga ➝ Lake Manasarovar (4590 m above sea level)

Drive to the sacred Lake Manasarovar (approx. 7 hours).
En route: First view of Mount Kailash and Rakshas Tal.
Evening: Holy bath and parikrama (time permitting).
Overnight in Manasarovar.

Day 7 – Manasarovar ➝ Tarchen (4675m)

Morning puja, meditation, and holy bath at Lake Manasarovar.
Transfer to Tarchen, Kailash base camp.
Yatra briefing for Kailash Kora (Parikrama).
Overnight in Tarchen.

Day 08 – Tarchen ➝ Dirapuk (4900 m above sea level) – Start of Kailash Kora (12 km trek)

Trekking with yaks/luggage porters.
Day 1 of Kailash Parikrama (approx. 5–6 hours).
Spectacular view of the north face of Kailash.
Overnight in Dirapuk.

Day 09 – Dirapuk ➝ Dolma La Pass (5630 m above sea level) ➝ Zutulpuk (22 km trek)

The most difficult day of the yatra.
Crossing the Dolma La Pass (the highest point).
Visit Gauri Kund (a sacred lake).
Descent to Zutulpuk.
Overnight in Zutulpuk.

Day 10 – Zutulpuk ➝ Saga (End of Parikrama)

Short trek and return to Saga.
Yatris not participating in the Parikrama join the group here.
Overnight in Saga.

Day 11 – Saga ➝ Kerung

Return through the picturesque Tibetan landscape.
Overnight in Kerung.

Day 12 – Kerung ➝ Kathmandu

Cross the Nepal border, return to Kathmandu.
Evening: Shopping or rest.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 13 – Buffer Day in Kathmandu

Reserve a day in case of delays.
Optional Muktinath Yatra / Bhaktapur sightseeing (additional fee).
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14 – Departure from Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport, onward journey with the blessings of Lord Shiva.
The yatra ends with Divine Memories
