10 Days Rudhra Abhishek Tour – Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Varanasi & Khajuraho
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi-
Arrive in Delhi and check into your booked hotel. Relax after your flight and enjoy the day soaking up the city’s energy. In the evening, stroll around Connaught Place or visit the India Gate, a perfect way to start your trip to India.
Day 2: Delhi to Indore, Ujjain-
In the morning, fly from Delhi to Indore. Upon arrival, drive to Ujjain (approximately 1.5 hours). Check into your booked hotel in Ujjain. In the evening, head to the Mahakal Temple for the Sayan Aarti, a magnificent nighttime ritual offering breathtaking views of the majestic temple and the sacred atmosphere of Ujjain.
Day 3: Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple Tour-
Start your day early by attending the Bhasm Aarti at the Mahakal Temple, an intense ritual celebrated at dawn. Next, visit some of Ujjain’s key spiritual sites, such as the Maa Harsiddhi Temple, the Sandeepani Ashram, and the Kal Bhairav Temple. These temples immerse you in the city’s spiritual history. In the afternoon, participate in the Rudra Abhishek ceremony at the Mahakal Temple, where you can witness a special worship ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. The divine ambiance is incomparable.
Day 4: Ujjain to Omkareshwar (via Maheshwar)-
The drive from Ujjain to Omkareshwar takes approximately 4 hours. En route, stop at Maheshwar, a beautiful town on the banks of the Narmada River. Visit the Maheshwar and Ahilya Forts, two historical and spiritual landmarks. Continue your journey to Omkareshwar and check in to your hotel.
Day 5: Omkareshwar and Abhishek Visit-
In the morning, visit the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Participate in the Rudra Abhishek ceremony at the Omkareshwar Temple, renowned for its powerful spiritual energy. In the afternoon, drive to Bhopal (approximately 3 hours). Check into your hotel and relax in the evening.
Day 6: Sanchi, Bhimbetka, and Bhojpur-
Start the day with a visit to Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient Buddhist stupas. Explore the rich history of this spiritual site. Later, head to Bhimbetka, an archaeological site famous for its prehistoric rock shelters and rock paintings. Then drive to Bhojpur and participate in Rudra Abhishek at Bhojpur Shiva Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return to Bhopal in the evening.
Day 7: From Bhopal to Khajuraho-
Travel from Bhopal to Khajuraho (approximately 7 to 8 hours). Check into your hotel and relax. Khajuraho is famous for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples, renowned for their breathtaking architecture and intricate carvings depicting various aspects of life, spirituality, and mythology.
Day 8: Sightseeing in Khajuraho-
In the morning, attend the Rudhra Abhishek ceremony at Matangeshwar Temple one of Khajuraho’s.
Then, visit the famous Group of Monuments at Khajuraho, renowned for its architectural beauty and breathtaking carvings depicting gods, goddesses, and celestial beings. These temples are a testament to India’s rich culture and art. In the evening, drive to Varanasi (approximately 10 hours) for your next spiritual journey.
Day 9: Varanasi – Spiritual Exploration-
Arrive in Varanasi early in the morning. Start your day with a peaceful boat ride on the sacred Ganges at dawn. The spectacle of the temples along the ghats at sunrise is unforgettable. Next, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest temples in India. Later, celebrate the Rudhra Abhishek ceremony at another important Shiva temple in Varanasi. Explore the ancient campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and the Durga Temple. Don’t miss the serene atmosphere of Sarnath, where the Buddha delivered his first sermon. In the evening, take a return flight to Delhi.
Day 10: Delhi Sightseeing and Shopping-
Back in Delhi, spend the morning exploring its historical monuments such as the Qutub Minar, the Red Fort (Lal Qila), and the India Gate. Visit the magnificent Akshardham Temple, renowned for its grandeur and spiritual significance. Enjoy free time to shop at Dilli Haat or Connaught Place, searching for unique handicrafts and souvenirs. You’ll then board your flight for the next part of your journey.
